Hi all,
So today was the mad shop before Christmas. I can’t believe Christmas is next week (Monday for Austrians, Tuesday for New Zealanders) I think I got so lost in the end of the world happening that Christmas has almost passed me by!!! Luckily I have sent my lovely nieces presents (I figured they would think as the world melted to nothing-wish we had opened those presies from Family Ritson) Now I’m thinking I should have spent more money on them. My bro and his wife will have to wait a little longer for their presies-technical hitch.
Shopping in St Anton is great if you want to buy anything to do with skiing. However if you need anything else it can be complicated. We have 2 supermarkets Spar(run by the lovely Melanie) and M-pries(Run by the very musically talented Willi) Spar is in the village and very easy to get to on foot. It has a great range of English goods if that is what you are after. Along with all your daily needs.
M-pries is slighty bigger supermarket but not so easily accessible on foot. However there are always loads of ski buses to get you out there (line 2 and line 5) If you are staying in St jakob M-Pries may be closer. It is always a mission to shop without a car. However it is always an option to walk to the supermarket of choice. Then get a taxi back to your place.
I will tell you about taxis in the next couple of days.
As for Fang, I invested in a few quality Christmas decorations. Don’t blink or you may miss them!!!
It is snowing right now, but it is a tad on the warm side. Hopefully no rain!!
